Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 1, 2026

Introduction

Sabbath Together ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. We do not sell your data or personal information to anyone.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve the service: account information (such as email and display name when you sign up), profile details you choose to share, and content you create (events, messages, and other activity within the app). If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g., Facebook), we receive only the information that provider shares with us in accordance with your permissions and their policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate the platform: to create and manage your account, show you relevant events and communities, enable messaging and channels, and improve the product. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing or advertising. We have no access to your data beyond what is required to run the service and support you when you ask for help.

Security and Encryption

Your data is stored and transmitted securely. We use Supabase for authentication and database services. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Privacy of Your Communications

All communications on Sabbath Together—including channel chats, direct messages (DMs), and event-related conversations—are private. Only users who have access to a given channel or conversation can see that content. We do not read, scan, or use your messages for advertising or any purpose other than providing the service.

In limited circumstances, support staff and super administrators may access channel conversations when needed for conflict resolution, safety, or to address reported issues. This access is restricted, logged where appropriate, and used only for those purposes. Apart from that, your communications remain hidden from our eyes and from other users who are not part of the conversation.

Data Retention and Your Rights

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. You can update or delete your profile and account through the app. If you request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data in line with our retention practices and applicable law.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services (such as Supabase for data storage and authentication, and optional sign-in providers like Facebook) to operate the platform. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them. We do not control their practices; we encourage you to review their policies when you use features that involve them (e.g., "Login with Facebook").

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Contact Us

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how we handle your data, you can reach us through the app (e.g., support or feedback options) or at our published contact details. We are happy to clarify our practices and address your concerns.
